Sandee Boyd

An artful creation that can be as fancy, decorative or simple as you wish. Sandee learned to knit at the age of 4 years old. Being in a cold climate, entertainment was found in craft, games and indoor activities. Years and years later, knitting tea cosies was the saviour of having to endure the Covid shut down. So not being able to venture out of our yards meant out came the knitting needles and wool. Not
having a pattern for my tea cosy, my mother had knitted one years before for me which became the star pattern.

We had a Café that sold craft and in they went. All moved to new homes quickly much to my delight. A few years later we moved from the Café and once again found myself with free time as we set out on a new adventure of starting up a Pottery Gallery and Craft shop which of course would sell Tea Cosies. So out came the needles and wool again. This process is to learn patience as nothing can happen quickly.

With the help of a lovely local Craft group, I learnt how to knit and crochet flowers to decorate my tea cosies. What fun!! I discovered an amazing wool shop just two towns over and now have patters and glorious colours of wool. I have thoroughly enjoyed the rest time sitting in the warm sun by a toasty fireplace. They will keep many a tea pot from Pottery at 258 Grey Street hotter for you or cover a pot
from home and keep it warm.

One Garden Essences
One Garden Essences offers natural, ethical, plant-based flower essences that are gentle, safe and non-allergenic. They are suitable for adults, children and animals. Our essences support all aspects of life, addressing challenges like career, creativity, relationships, trauma recovery, wealth & abundance, inner child healing, behavioural & learning issues, pregnancy, birth, adoption and spiritual growth. Therapists and practitioners from various fields use our essences to aid emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. With three unique ranges, our essences harness the energetic imprint of flowers and botanicals to inspire healing, drawing on ancient traditions and modern flower essence therapy. Flower essence therapy has been used throughout history by ancient and traditional cultures. Well known people such as Hildegard von Bingham (1100’s), and Paracelsus (1500’s) created flower essences. Dr Edward Bach (1900’s), a Harley Street immunologist modernised flower essences known as the Bach Flower Remedies paving the way for thousands of people across the world creating flower essences.
Susan Wellingham
Introducing Susan Wellingham, an exciting watercolour artist who was born in Uganda East Africa and whose unique childhood, without television, fostered a deep connection with nature and sparked her vivid imagination. A former teacher, Susan now spends her days painting watercolours out of her studio near Esk. It is here surrounded by picturesque landscape and local wildlife that she embraces a loose impressionistic style crafting ethereal and dreamy pieces that transport viewers into her whimsical world. Susan’s focus on Australian flora and fauna reveals her profound connection with nature and her need to capture its essence and fragility. Her strength lies in her use of colour as she seamlessly mixes and blends paints on paper creating a touch of magic. Susan’s art is a testament to her free, unrestricted style and invites the viewer to experience the beauty and wonder of the natural world through her eyes where the boundaries between reality and art often blur.
Proverbs 31 Hands
Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Natasha, and I am married with two children. I am a stay-at-home Mum who home educates our children. Our family lives on a rural property and we try to create many different things from the plants we grow. I love using my hands to make useful, beneficial and beautiful things for my family and others. When we were first married, I created photography cards and grew plants to sell at our local monthly markets. Later, we purchased an embroidery machine, and this really started me down the path of creating gifts to sell. A short time later, I met Sandee who kindly purchased some of the things I had sewn. She also encouraged me to try making other gifts to sell in her Cafe and Gift Shop. For me, sewing is more than just a useful skill to have as a wife and mother. It is something that I greatly enjoy.

A few years ago, I saw the need of making natural products for my family. Part of this journey has included learning about herbs and plants that are good for our bodies – both inside and out. I now grow a variety of these plants, and use them to make natural soaps and salves which contain no nasty chemicals. In the Bible, in Proverbs 31, there is a description of the type of woman, wife and mother which I strive to be. She is always using her hands, her time, and her gifts to benefit her family and those around her. I aspire to be like her, even though I often fall short!
